How does COVID-19 affect my travel plans?
The pandemic has given us a few more things to think about when we travel
Do I need COVID-19 travel insurance on top of my usual travel insurance and healthcare cover?
Yes. Purchase COVID-19 travel insurance as soon as you’ve booked your trip so you’ve covered all bases should the worst happen. Get in touch if you’d like to look into any of our recommendations - we’ve partnered with two amazing companies, both offering all-in-one options covering all COVID-19 permutations. These include (amongst other things) trip cancellation cover, overseas emergency medical expenses cover and even evacuation services!
Do I need some sort of COVID-19 status certification?
You may do, yes. English residents should download the main NHS app - not the NHS COVID-19 app - to use as a health certificate for international travel and to prove you’ve been vaccinated against COVID-19, tested negative or recently recovered from the virus. We suggest you also download or email yourself the PDF to print off in paper form. The certificate is recognised by the EU and internationally. You can also download it from the NHS website or by calling the NHS helpline on 119.
EU citizens use a “EU Digital COVID Certificate” covering vaccination, test and recovery status to enable travel across all 27 EU member states and non-EU countries including Norway, Iceland and Switzerland. The certificate is recognised by the UK and beyond Europe under a mutual recognition arrangement. It is available free and in digital and paper format. The UK is also part of the EU COVID vaccine passport scheme, which makes travelling in Europe easier and cheaper for British tourists.
What happens if FCDO changes its travel advice or if my destination’s status changes?
We have special flexible COVID-19 booking and payment terms which allow us to deal with any unexpected or unwanted situations, ensuring both your holiday and your money are safe. If you can’t travel, we’ll ensure your money is protected or your booking gets rearranged. Because we’re a small, dedicated team, we can deal with your problems on an individual basis and maintain communication at all times.
What happens if I can’t travel because I test positive for COVID-19 in the days leading up to departure?
Our own flexi-terms and the special terms we negotiate with our suppliers give us leeway to deal with any nasty surprises that affect you at any stage of your trip. Furthermore, if you need it, you’ll be covered by your COVID-19 travel insurance anyway. Again, please ask us if you’re stuck on anything.
I’m not fully vaccinated. Can I still travel?
Yes, but you may not be allowed into certain destinations. Each region and country has constantly changing rules and regulations, and sometimes there’s an overload of information, so ask us; we’re here to help.
I’m worried about COVID-19 and other things jeopardising my trip. Is my money protected?
Absolutely. 360 is protected by Air Travel Organiser’s Licensing (ATOL) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Our flexible COVID-19 terms allow us to deal with any unexpected and unwanted situations, and we’re constantly adapting to change.
Booking a package via a trusted professional means you will have complete financial protection. Try a “do-it-yourself” holiday in today’s world at your own peril!
